The Bubba Cub

The Bubba Cub started life as a project with two friends and has now been intrusted to me. (Formerly called the Fat Boy Cub)

The Aircraft is a 4” flat side wide body. So for those of you that like the feeling of wearing your cub, you will still have that same feeling. The pedals have a wider spacing, there is more headroom in the fuselage, there is a sling backseat, and a huge cargo area with a cargo door that you can fit a yeti cooler through. the cabin door and window are 1” taller and large square back windows, the fuselage is also extended for more tail authority, and I’m using square tail surfaces.

The wing is a square tip wing with 9 foot flaps and a newly designed aileron. There is a new aileron control system, no cables will exit the wing to the aileron which will make a cleaner look and easier rigging.

This project is slow going, but is moving forward. In addition, a Bubba Cub 4 seat Fuselage is already in the planning stage!
